Every night, while you dream (whether you remember it or not), your mind is experiencing the magic of REM. Your brain processes the events of the day, physically moving them from the ‘stress bucket’ to the intellectual mind, where you have control of them.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to wake up each morning with an empty stress bucket, feeling rested, refreshed, and ready to face the day with a smile? Well, it all begins the night before. When you listen to this recording as you fall asleep, it will help you to relax into a deep slumber and promote the best possible sleep patterns to get all the REM you need.

Here are some top tips to further promote good sleep:

  • Stick to a Schedule. Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day as much as you can. A regular sleep routine will be your best friend.
  • Morning Sunlight. Head outside first thing in the morning to get some sun in your eyes, even if it’s overcast. This will help reset your body clock for the following day.
  • Comfortable Environment. Ensure your bedroom is cool, dark, and quiet.
  • Create a Bedtime Routine. Wind down with calming activities before bed, like listening to calm music or reading a book. Turn off your devices at least an hour before bed.
  • Watch Your Caffeine. Avoid coffees after midday when you can.
  • Limit Alcohol. Alcohol interferes with sleep cycles. If you can swap your nightcap for a chamomile tea, this will really benefit your sleep.
  • Stay Active. Regular exercise helps you fall asleep faster and enjoy deeper sleep.
  • Strategic Naps. If you’re a napper, try keeping your daytime rests to 20-30 minutes and before 2pm to avoid disrupting nighttime sleep.
